It is very common for musicians to say that they hate to exercise. An undesirable aspect of practicing is the simple fact that the musician should practice passages and techniques that hard for them to play. This leads to frustration of the musician and can let question their abilities.
Some practice materials are specifically designed to develop technique and play these materials can be quite annoying.
